11 years ago today, I had my last drink. I’m pretty sure this had a much smaller impact on Jack Daniels than the trade war with Canada, but its impact on my life, and those around me, has been immeasurable. I don’t celebrate these anniversaries, but do quietly recognize them and am so thankful.

Today, 4 years after the insurrection, I’m even more committed to living a peaceful life. It’s difficult to feel compassion for others with different views and conditioning that my own, but I’m committed. It’s the only way I know how to have a positive effect. Compassion for all living beings.

I’m working really hard to not feel the “hearty fuck you” part of this post, but it ain’t easy is it? The feelings are real and the disrespect shown to women and girls is beyond belief. I hope enough of us have their backs. If you don’t, why don’t you?
