I don’t advise reading while on vacation, getting away from it all. But this book is an excellent read, connects the dots on how we got here… warning: might induce depression.

Happy to report I am not susceptible to misinformation. It is not “inborn.” I’ve had periods of life where I was sucked in to alternative/ functional medicine. I was raised religious and science was less valued. I had to work at it to build my critical thinking and science skills. Education is key!!

You are correct. There don’t appear to be a lot of studies on tenure/costs. One looked at 1 NE school- concluded tenure makes $sense. But this article references tenured positions in decline - due to costs. So Universities must see it as a cost problem. Thanks for the discussion!

Not many studies on tenure/ costs. Earlier one sent was 1 school in NE. ( yes, supports tenure.) Here is a different article- makes it sound like tenure already in decline for cost reasons… which is my focus- not for “censorship.”
Thanks for the conversation.

One study…there are also articles written by professors who argue for tenure.

I do however think those who are in for profits are suddenly going to find more courage as the markets continue to crash.

Here is the chart on tourist visits to EU- only goes through 2019. Shows about 1B in 2019.

2024 had 3x that: 3B! All time highest level.

Taxes aren’t hurting EU tourism at all- which was my point on the idea that tourist taxes will hurt Florida.

And research shows wealthy DONT spend more from a tax cut. They have so much already it has not been holding back their spending. Currently luxury products aren’t seeing a slow down in spending-

First. I have brown skinned grandkids, so I am not racist. My point is to not allow a false narrative drive the discussion. Slavery is wrong. Racism is wrong. And chattel slavery was NOT unique in history to America. Good luck to you.

Dang. Just read a LinkedIn post by preventative cardiologist saying he doesn’t take any supplements but creating because of evidence. Guess I will scrap it.
