Definitely should not be minimized, but there was a time when TB was endemic in certain communities in the US. Worked in long term care in the 1970’s in suburban Chicago and most of our farming and German immigrant residents had latent TB infection. Why we need our public health experts

And the airborne discussion can’t go anywhere when part of the discussion during the pandemic revolved around the dire lack of N95 or higher respirators, lack of proper fit test programs, and the potential public response when there were no N95s to be found
