My final email to Tillis (read to the end in comments): Dear Sir,
I recently read that you have acknowledged that Trump has “run afoul of the Constitution,” but you believe that we don’t need to “bellyache” about it. Sir, I am sure you have heard impassioned responses

Also, this is what my beloved husband wrote to Tillis 🤬😂(entire letter will be in comments section): “It was only a few years ago you swore to the American people and under the eyes of our lord. "I do solemnly swear that I will support and defend the Constitution….

Tillis conceded that we’ve “run afoul of the constitution,” but there’s no reason to “bellyache” about it. He’s a lost cause. On a positive note: Roy Cooper’s campaign website is active, where you can communicate and donate to an undeclared future run (🙏 for Senate 2026).

That I’m planning on buying tickets next week to see Beyoncé is lifting my heart and head!

Today I’m feeling grateful for my husband. Who or what are you grateful for?

I took this training and yes, it’s just trauma-informed basics that anyone can learn if they want to be a helper in a crisis!

Like, how bad are you at US foreign relations when you get Canada mad at you? CANADA! Their national motto is basically, “We’re polite.” It’s quite an accomplishment when you can get a headline that reads “Canada retaliates against US.” I for one would welcome maple lovin’ overlords at this point.

As a therapist, this cuts to my ethical core.

Apparently I can’t do it all. Reminds me of that scene in “Batman Begins” (or maybe “Dark Knight”) where Bruce tells Alfred, “Batman has no limits” and Alfred says, “But Bruce Wayne does.” This PSA for accepting human limitations was sponsored by Your Values and Quality of Life.

I’m sad.

Been slowly setting higher expectations for my Gen Z kid. An application to Durham Tech is the next step. I informed them that (given the “political tipping point”) they WILL self actualize as much as possible. You’re welcome society.

Feeling grateful. Our heat went out last night in the freezing temps, but it’s fine now. We bundled up, and it didn’t dip much below 60 degrees inside. We had a cozy morning with cinnamon rolls from the oven (which also helped with the heat lol) until the repairman got there.

Sensorimotor psychotherapy integrates the use of somatic resources to assist us in staying present & in our bodies when we are activated by distressing memories, triggers & fear, or the grief we hold for the world.

Being trained in Sensorimotor Psychotherapy is a major life goal for me. I’m so happy that I’ll be completing level (simple trauma) 1 in Feb. My clients are tired of “talking it out” and are ready to get more comfortable with their feelings and their bodies!
As a trauma psychotherapist and trauma survivor, I’ve researched complex trauma therapy for years, in this post, I highlight three of them: 1) Neuroaffective Relational Model (NARM), 2) Sensorimotor Psychotherapy (SP), 3) Pelvic Floor Physical Therapy. www.psychologytoday.com/us/blog/simp...
