Post-sunset swim.
Silver water of Scotts Flat Lake in Nevada County, CA, with two intersecting rows of dark hills at the top of the frame and a pale apricot colored sky where the sun just went down. We had Craft Day (mending, sewing, lunch: my friends Jacquie and Susanna) at Jacquie and Steve's today, and they cut each of us a bunch of roses to bring home. The photo is a blue ceramic pitcher with fruit on it in the foreground, filled with pink- and coral-colored roses. The background is my living room with some kantha cloth curtains and an old green wooden oar in the corner. The walls I call "nectar," kind of a creamy yellow with very little green in it. I wish bluesky had scratch-and-sniff so you could smell the rosy scent.

Out in the streets again, saving democracy from creeps. The average age was quite high, as usual. Nevada County, CA, has been a retirement community for a very long time, and redder than red, but we turned it blue for a couple of minutes in November. This is my friend Peggy W.
