Drop them off in one of our dull but worthy exhibition areas and they can have a nice nap.

Then invest in an expensive cake - Halloween themed and may take time to defrost.

We continue to review (but not update) our collections policy

We are keen to highlight that the majority of these items were only taken from their original locations to ensure they could be preserved safely, and be fully viewable by holders of a London Pass. After excessive investment we have finally launched the new ticketing system.

Data transfer was easier than expected to be fair.
And as the Trustees said ‘that’s us fine for another 25 years’

Our historic farming exhibition in our new multi-purpose toilet / quiet room / prayer room space isn’t going well.
Museum of Forward Planning " A disappointing experience" 1 star. Hard to know where to start with this. I'd been waiting years for a quality exhibition on the three field crop rotation system employed in the late Carolingian period. This promised an immersive experience with an authoritative accompanying podcast series and audio guide. I arrived at the museum to find many of the exhibition objects and information had been shoved into what appeared to be a disused toilet that was labelled as a prayer room and quiet area. As if that wasn't enough the audio guide contained no discernible information, instead assaulting my ears with what sounded like an attempt to modernise the approach by presenting all the information in a 'hard house' style with constant repetition and a migraine inducing bass. It made much of the content unlistenable. I will not be returning. This disneyfication of historic farming methodology has gone too far.

Never have l ever #Heritage & #Museums edition 1. Spelled 'museum incorrectly 2. Explained that 1000 words is not the correct amount for the intro panel 3. Realised there is no power and data at the entrance 4. Found Marketing were advertising an experience unlike our reality 5. Been asked to 'find' 30 staff for a late night event at one day notice 6. Evacuated the whole site due to illegal use of a toaster by staff 7. Accidentally trashed a collection item I was responsible for preserving 8. Scheduled two completely incompatible events at the same time 9. Telephoned a teacher to say they left one child behind 10. Told a visitor they absolutely cannot lick that item 11. Explained the TV reconstruction may have taken minor liberties with the truth 12. Noticed the typo on the leaflet after producing 10,000 13. Spent the day managing the car park 'strategically' 14. Applied for a role with a 'competitive salary' 15. Reasserted that however hopeful we feel, the site only takes a certain number of people per day 16. Wiped the rain off the screen of a smartphone while saying 'but the forecast is good' 17. Had to argue that something isn't 'dumbing down' just because people enjoy it 18. Felt embarrassed about the price of the cake 19. Been told by a visitor my institution is 'too woke' 20. Been told by a visitor my institution is 'not woke enough' a steled out two lift entrapments in one day as this never 22. Explained to a member that they do have to queue
