Arsenal fan hoping to find a less toxic football community here ⚪️🔴

Also follow American Football (Saints ⚜️), Rugby (Quins & England) & NBA (Nuggets) - in that order
Said it before, I’ll say it again - Declan Rice has that Steven Gerrard gene.

He’s always been the man for the big occasion, he finds another gear when the team needs him most.

Going to be watching that 1st free kick on a loop

Genuinely lost for words, the sort of night that every football fan dreams about. Glorious

Another clueless refereeing display in the PL. It’s so boring to talk about each week but it’s taking the enjoyment from so many games.

An okay performance given the circumstances, probably did enough to scrape a 1-0 if not for the ref.

That Tarkowski tackle was another example of how PGMOL have got their priorities all wrong at this point

It’s an obvious red card but they’re more interested in pedantic gestures like the Rice sending off than actually doing their job and protecting the players from genuine dangerous play.

Feels impossible that Gabriel will play either leg if it’s a hamstring so we desperately need some good news on at least two of Timber/White/Calafiori now.
April 1, 2025 at 9:00 PM
Zero doubt that Saka is everything to this team, what a reception and what a return. Give him whatever he wants for his new deal.

Surround him with more attacking talent and we go again next season
April 1, 2025 at 8:52 PM
What a finish from Ethan, he’s too good from that range
March 24, 2025 at 7:56 PM
England vs France U21s has been one of the best halves of football I’ve seen all season.

Crazy amount of talent on the pitch for both sides but no one more naturally gifted than Cherki and he’s proven that.

Really good from Ekitike, Odobert and Merlin for France as well
March 21, 2025 at 8:43 PM
Says a lot about his football intelligence that MLS has been able to adapt to a new position at 18 and still make the jump to 1st team and now international level look so easy.

Still convinced he becomes a CM again eventually but either way, what a talent
March 21, 2025 at 8:22 PM
Tough watch at times but three points all that really matters.

The level Gabriel has been at all season is incredible, top class again today - rest of the back 4 outstanding as well.

No idea why Arteta didn’t make more changes in the 2nd half, we looked knackered last 20 mins
March 16, 2025 at 3:31 PM
This is a horrible Chelsea team even by their own low standards - Enzo, Caicedo, Cucurella etc… wouldn’t normally have Fofana on that list but he’s lost his head at the Emirates a few times now.
March 16, 2025 at 2:27 PM
Great half from Nico Williams, doesn’t make the right decision all the time but he’s such a threat. Top movement & always looks to beat his man.

Convinced that he develops into a world class winger in the right system and the right coach
March 13, 2025 at 6:35 PM
I wanted Real Madrid so I’m glad they got through - no point in being a top team again if we don’t get to experience those huge Champions League nights against the very best.
March 12, 2025 at 10:55 PM
Obviously Bouaddi is the superstar talent for doing what he’s doing at 17 but I really like Mukau for Lille
March 12, 2025 at 6:13 PM
Watched Arsenal vs Chelsea U18s earlier - love Louis Copley’s attitude, gets through so much work off the ball.

Dowman was unplayable 2nd half, U18s level is far too easy for him already.

Was expecting big things from Kavuma-McQueen but he struggled a bit.
March 11, 2025 at 8:10 PM
Poor performance, familiar issues against a team sitting back and giving us the ball.

Obviously we have a lack of quality in the final 3rd thanks to injuries, but lack of movement is disappointing. Too safe in the 1st half, then lost control in the 2nd.
March 9, 2025 at 6:33 PM
Watching MotD and I can’t believe how many fans thought that Nunez tackle should have been a red card - no chance.

Two very soft penalties though, just one of those seasons for Liverpool where most of the little margins have gone their way. Deserved title winners regardless though

Sporting director is one of those roles that is so hard to judge accurately from the outside, too many other factors involved.

Huge summer ahead though so let’s hope Berta has the talent and experience to help maximise it for us.
Andrea Berta has reached an agreement with Arsenal to become their new sporting director.

Berta became available in January after more than a decade at Atletico Madrid — where he was central to the Spanish team’s progress.

What a night for everyone who made the trip tonight, you don’t get many of those as a fan.

Perfect result, PSV were there for the taking but great ruthlessness to kill them off.

Love what the full backs did, makes sense that we use them to attack more in our current situation
March 4, 2025 at 10:03 PM
Thought both full backs Kamason & Amass were good for United, both really strong runners. Maybe if Amorim stays they can break through as wing backs in that system.

Bit of a shame Arsenal didn’t have Zecevic-John to test them more 1v1 defensively
February 28, 2025 at 9:55 PM
Really impressive performance from Arsenal U18s given the context.

That Man Utd side was entirely made up of 2006 / 2007 year group players. Only 3 of Arsenal’s starting XI were that same age bracket

Dowman the star obviously but Salmon & Porter both excellent to keep it close
February 28, 2025 at 9:47 PM
Crazy thing to say about a 15yo, but Max Dowman genuinely looks miles above this level (on the ball).

Brilliant pass by Sweet for the goal, great run and finish by Copley too.

Marli Salmon has been very good considering he’s a 15yo up against attackers 3 years older as well
February 28, 2025 at 7:53 PM
Much sharper than the weekend at least, but still pretty toothless.

The positions Calafiori takes up are outstanding, just needs to learn how to defend out wide. If/when he masters that he’ll be a big asset.
February 26, 2025 at 8:22 PM
Would happily take a draw tonight. Really tough place to go with no confidence, just maintain the gap to 3rd and move on.
February 26, 2025 at 7:09 PM
Think Baleba might be even better than Caicedo was at Brighton.

No doubt he’d cost crazy money but feel like he’d suit Liverpool perfectly
