A great turnout for No Kings in Saint Paul (there were more people behind us). It was even more important to come out and protest after this morning’s senseless and tragic shootings. We will not be intimidated or silenced.

My great uncle left the US in 1940 to join the Canadian Air Force. He was injured during a mission and appeared in the film Target for Tonight. During a mission in Nov. 1941 his plane went down and he ended up a prisoner at Stalag Luft III where the Great Escape took place. He was liberated in 1945.

Minnesota veterans protest. We should not be cutting funding for veterans. The CR specifically cuts billions of VA funding especially hurting those vets, like myself, who are receiving benefits due to the PACT Act. Vote no on the CR! @klobuchar.senate.gov @smith.senate.gov @schumer.senate.gov

My great uncle, Ray Martin, who left New York to join the Canadian Air Force long before the US got involved in the war. A month before Pearl Harbor he had to bail out of his plane and was taken prisoner. He spent the rest of the war at Stalag Luft III and was likely involved in The Great Escape.
