Why do some products torture their users into paying for a subscription? Strava, Youtube, Revolut, Soundcloud, just to name a few. Rather make your products so good, that people will throw money at you.

Apparantly it’s okay to call yourself a software engineer these days, even though you are unable to manipulate arrays in your favourite language without the help of AI.
