In this interview Schumer says he agrees with Trump’s decision to pull $400 million from Columbia. A university in his own state. And he’s unconcerned about the unlawful arrest of Mahmoud Khalil, one of his constituents.

He is a traitor who needs to resign.

One reason the Democrats are not inspiring much confidence as an “opposition party” is that their leader supports a fascist crackdown by his own political opponents because it aligns with his personal support for an apartheid foreign government.
Chuck Schumer is very clear that he and the Democratic Party are not going to come to the aid of higher education against Trump’s assault. He agrees with it. Quibbles on details but supports forcing universities to crack down harder against alleged antisemitism.

Maybe instead of spending the last decade telling Bernie supporters they were too angry, too vicious, they should have let the fight happen. It's clear the Democrats bank their entire careers on being toothless and ineffective. The question is: when IS our time to fight like hell?

Don't know why Democrats haven't been more successful opposing the right wing coup, they've tried literally nothing.
We all like to yell at the Democrats, but it’s really Speaker Mike Johnson and Senate Majority Leader John Thune who are letting Elon Musk and his faceless goon squad make a mockery of their power as leaders of a coequal branch without uttering a peep or lifting a finger.

When Dems control the House & Senate, Rs influence everything: they block policy, shift public opinion & position themselves for power.

We have to beg Dems for info, help & guidance & we only hear from a few. ☹️

Dems need to act as a solid block that rapidly responds/updates us so we can act, too.

The 6-month-old and I are embarking upon a critical (and chronological) review of Kathryn Bigelow's complete oeuvre.

Up first: THE LOVELESS (1981).

Wish us luck!
