Nazi propaganda wasn't just posters and films; it was a calculated assault on truth, manipulating art, media, and education to dehumanize and incite. It fueled a climate where genocide became conceivable, cloaked in the guise of national pride and cultural defense. #3E

This is important news. Dictators try to weaken defamation standards to make it easier for them to sue, and so to deter criticism of them. Justices Thomas & Gorsuch have previously suggested they might be willing to do this, but at least for now, there aren’t four votes to take a case.
JUST IN: Supreme Court has turned down a request to take up Trump ally Steve Wynn's bid to upend the landmark NYT v. Sullivan press freedom precedent.

It's been a week, and we still don't know who the DOGE administrator is.
NEW: Who is running DOGE? Don't ask its employees, because they haven't got a clue. Apparently, neither does the White House.

More on the internal USDS/DOGE confusion over leadership here:

Not Even DOGE Employees Know Who's Legally Running DOGE
Despite all appearances, the White House insists that Elon Musk is not in charge of DOGE. US Doge Service employees can't get a straight answer about who is.

Trump's flurry of anti-trans executive orders is justified as "protecting women."

In reality, they are an attack on all women and girls, cis and trans. They make sexual abuse easier. And they're targeting research into women's health care for defunding.

No, this is what happened - men took programming jobs over when they became well paid and high status.

This is a pattern that has occurred in many industries, from teaching to veterinary science.

And on the debt limit, dots are not hard to connect. The debt limit is what Republicans constantly use to extort concessions that they can’t win with votes. Democrats (yours truly particularly) want to be rid of it: “a bear trap in the bedroom.”
