archie had to leave town and hide out in the woods because his gf veronica's dad wanted to kill him. he fought a bear and barely made it out alive, then eventually went back to attend high school again. he proceeded to mention surviving a bear attack many times in the show, because who wouldn't.

one random episode that comes to mind: they threw a serial killer convention and sang songs from american psycho the musical as entertainment for the fans. betty kills the trash bag killer with a gun. archie plays guitar and sings a song about unity to break the spell cast by a sorcerer.
