$5000 to have another kid? GFYS. $5k pays for 1.5 months of daycare for us, which could be universal if you asshats stopped cutting funding for childcare programs. Also the $2000 tax credit for kids? Also GFYS.

The toddler made tomato soup tonight! I started him off, but he picked types and quantities of a selection of spices and olive oil! It was great tasting, and a great experience to surrender control to let him grow his confidence! They are so much more able than we give them credit for.

I took my toddler to the beach today and it was everything that’s good. We looked at shells, sticks, and moss. Judging from the sand and pebbles in his diaper, he had a good time too.

That little black spec on the right hand side of this infographic is the total budget of the NWS. How is eliminating positions that exponentially increase economic dividends through enhancing commerce and mitigating/preventing disasters saving money or eliminating waste/fraud?

In one day, we lost my husband’s grandfather who we were very close with to the end of his Alzheimer’s disease and I (and the rest of my colleagues) endured another bullying attack from the govt. It’s been an absolutely shit day.

Food for thought: keeping people angry and fearful is the goal. In a lot of aspects, those fears and angers are completely 100% justified and necessary. However, by checking in on people, offering support or even just a touch more empathy, you are resisting, and I think that’s important.
