Sámi National Day celebrates the solidarity, strength and resilience of Europe’s only recognised Indigenous people. Today is an opportunity to reflect on the Sámi peoples’ steadfast struggle for justice and self-determination on their homelands and what that might mean for us here in Australia.

A bunch of us have been suggesting that a useful new feature of academic conferences would be "continuing ed" roundtables that were basically "here's the major new scholarship in this subfield in the last 20 years," b/c it's so easy to have one's non-expert state of knowledge stuck in grad school.
