More like a story of confusion with several plot twists! 23 years later I still love teaching-most days. Definitely see parallels between politics and teaching. Biggest difference, I have higher behavior and academic expectations for my students than many Americans do for our elected politicians.🤷♀️

After finishing my poli sci degree, realized I didn’t want a career in politics. Since I loved the subject, decided to get a teaching degree in it.Thought I’d teach at the high school level, long story short, ended up teaching in the primary grades. 23 years later still teaching, exhausting but fun!
