What the actual *?! The White House has designated Mr. Musk’s office, the United States DOGE Service, as an entity protected from public records requests and most judicial intervention until at least 2034, by classifying its documents as presidential records.

Yeah I appreciate the effort involved but it still feels like tap dancing around the "blatantly, incredibly illegal" or "this is a coup" sort of language that this deserves
Big Elon story in NYT (6 reporters) underwhelms with the understated conclusion that "Mr. Musk’s aggressive incursions into at least half a dozen government agencies have challenged congressional authority and potentially breached civil service protections." www.nytimes.com/2025/02/03/u...
Inside Musk’s Aggressive Incursion Into the Federal Government (Gift Article)
The billionaire is creating major upheaval as his team sweeps through agencies, in what has been an extraordinary flexing of power by a private individual.

Capitol Hill reporters: Please ask congressional Republicans if they believe the Trump administration should follow federal court orders.

If they say yes, ask them what Congress should do if Trump refuses.

Is there really not going to be a breaking point when at least a few of them start speaking out? Maybe they are wanting to wait until disaster hits, a treasury crash, a pandemic, an attack on the country when the CIA workforce quits. Where is America's ethical and moral judgement? #MuskCoup

Trump is so predictable:

Step 1 — Create artificial crisis.

Step 2 — Make phone call.

Step 3 — Announce end of crisis.

Step 4 — Declare victory.

Trump is letting the richest man in the world wreak havoc on our government. It's unconstitutional and it's dangerous. Democrats must fight back. And that starts by voting no on his nominees. I urge my colleagues to join me. We cannot confirm any more of Trump's chaos cabinet.

This is why you can’t conduct foreign policy in broad strokes.

Everything you do as the President has reverberating consequences.

This could allow another ISIS resurgence.

It did not take long for the ICE raids to impact harvesting food, even right here in Detroit.

Hey Yall Detroit is a grass roots organization, founded in 2020, that provides free nutritional food, menstrual products and educational initiatives to Detroit neighborhoods.

The attempt to force Costco to audit their #DEI work was by an anti-inclusion lobby group:

Trump's Gestapo raided a business in Newark, New Jersey, on Thursday and detained undocumented residents as well as citizens, including a US military veteran. Like I said, if you have brown skin, have your papers in order bcz ICE is indiscriminately rounding people up. This bullshit is Naziesque. 😡

we do not have an influx of drug addicts and criminals from Canada, yet Trump is insisting we do. He will use this as an excuse. He will spend the next 4 years creating problems that he can then "fix" in an attempt to gaslight everyone into believing he's a great leader. Don't fall for it.
