It is, but since it's in the Constitution it's essentially impossible to change. What has happened in recent years to pack the court with partisan judges is not what the Founders envisioned, same as how the Electoral College works, something else that seems absurd to people from other democracies.

I've done drug interdiction ops in the Navy.

Both times we waited until the suspect transferred the drugs to another vessel or crossed into our national waters.

We didn't kill anyone and we coordinated with law enforcement to verify actual drugs were on board before actions were taken.
