My ballot for president in 2016 in New York. I voted for Hillary Clinton/Tim Kaine and Charles E. Schumer for Senator. I hope my next vote for US Senator in NY is for a fighter who controls his members in the Senate (if she or he is chosen as leader).

As an aside, a beaver swimming a few months ago (about 90 minutes north of NYC). Ducklings to the right were startled by me (the beaver wasn't chasing the ducklings). The beaver's home to the left. The flag behind Mr. Mamdani has a beaver.

About 6 ducklings that were on the shore jumped into the water when I went to take a photo of the beaver, they swam away from me and then to the right. A Paris look.
The building on the right reminds me of a Paris building. Older building about 5 floors, decorative oval windows on the top floor, metal railing on the roof, arches above windows, balconies with decorative metal railings. Pedestrian only street close to a large main square. September 2019, afternoon before independence celebrations at midnight. Aforementioned building seen from a different angle. A museum inside the building. A different older building closer to the camera, also stone and with balconies, with a Zara store on the main floor. Lots of people walking on the pedestrain street.

A three story home with stucco walls has at least 2 stained glass windows. An arched window with a decorative cement 'sill' base has a parrot (colors I guess are in the cream family). To the right of that window is a smaller window that has decorative shape around it (that shape is seen in large water fountains and other places (four corners with arches connecting the corners). To the left of the parrot stained glass window is a small balcony with an iron railing and two small columns with swirls. As seen from the sidewalk while walking in the La Condesa neighborhood.

Photos from many years ago, southeast of Haiti and southwest of the Dominican Republican.

As an aside, Walmart operates over 3,000 stores in Mexico. Home Depot, HEB, Sears and Woolworth are also in Mexico.
September 2019, CDMX (City of Mexico), warm in the day, cool at night and a strong sun.
To the young'uns, Sears used to put out a huge catalog.
A Sears store as seen from across the street (a large patio like area with shrubs in front of the Palacio de Bellas Artes). Could be an Art Deco style building, about 15 floors, has an outdoor seating area on about the 13th floor where you can get coffee. A Sears store inside a building that stretches for a block. People going to the Palacio de Bellas Artes and other people taking pictures. Sunny day, blue sky. Grand entrance to a Sears store in Mexico Xity, about 30 feet high, outside wall might have a dark granite covering, doors are brass and glass. Reminds me of the Century 21 that was(is?) in a former bank on Church Street in lower Manhattan. Inside a small supermarket operated by Walmart. A wide shelf with Pan de Muerto pastry (large kind of donut textured pastry with lots of cream in the middle, the pastry is shaped like a large roll and cut in the middle).

A mom with 2 of her 3 cubs (a cat inside the house crawled on a metal screen and these bears heard the sound).
Probably in late spring, a mom black bear to the left in the photo with 2 of her cubs to the right (they are fairly big, not babies, probably would be considered adolescents if they were human). Mom seems to be over 100 pounds, the cubs probably over 60 pounds. Trunks of young maple trees near them.
