Tbh I’m not really sure how to use juniper! I think the berries are preserved by drying without sweetening, so I’d play around with crushing or grinding them and seeing how strong it was. I’d make the recipe without it, then flavor a couple cookies with different amounts, bake them, then extrapolate

A star or a tree would be nice for winter, you could play with a piney flavor that pairs nicely with lemon (like a hint of rosemary or juniper) with the tree
