Some sort of a historian/IR person by background. Interested in the history of "Altaic" linguistics, Eurasianisms, and the Manchu language.
I agree. I think part of this delusion stems from pop-IR analysis and its overuse of geographical (e.g. supposed "geopolitical") theories, rather than understanding that the fundamental reasons for the war are within Russia. And no, we can't fix her.

Hyvin lohdullisesti selitetty tuo, että vastavalmistuneet eivät löydä töitä. Aina positiivinen merkki.

Wild how the country with the largest foreign affairs toolkit and power projection arsenal in the world could do so many things, and yet seems insistent on doing this thing in particular.

I remember those. They're all part of the same suicide squad to me.

Does she genuinely believe what she's saying or is it just political rhetoric?

Great, thank you! I'm familiar with Bugaeva's handbook, found it to be one of the best resources I've seen. I'll take a look at the contemporary one and Suzuko's grammar as well.

Oh thank god, you're finally here. Took a year but I've finally found the Ainu guy. Thanks though, this makes sense. Any general literature recommendations for studying Ainu (in Eng/Jpn/Ch)?

Genuinely not sure what to make of this. According to her, Qing's spatial isolation (空間隔離) was for the safety of both the Han and 生番, which is believable. But surely colonial projects are inherently expansionist, regardless of the "land-hungry Han settlers."
