Been too long, but the times call for Lee Bains III and The Glory Fires. If you've never heard 'em, think Black Crowes meet Black Flag, or maybe the spirit of Billy Bragg fronting the raucous parts of Drive-By Truckers. Dudes rock, this album rips and has a lotta lyrical depth.

RIP, Rickey Henderson, an absolute all-timer from my childhood and the A's teams I thought were so fun. Great anecdote from @craigcalcaterra.bsky.social about Rickey's altruism to younger players when it came to dividing up playoff shares and falling on the side of generosity. Rickey was the dude.
