This is the facility that I and many others have been protesting. We’ve been hit, thrown, gassed, and shot with pepper bullets but none of that holds a candle to what is being done to people *in* the actual facility.

A family friend was telling us about what her husband shared about his experience in Broadview before he was deported back to Mexico. She's been sharing to friends and family because she's just in disbelief & horror what her husband told her. She wasn't able to talk to him until he was in Mexico.

One of the greatest horrors of our modern internet to me personally is that in no way can I be honest about my actual mood in real time without risking some overreaching algorithmic response. I miss being raw. This is lonely.

Chatbots — LLMs — do not know facts and are not designed to be able to accurately answer factual questions. They are designed to find and mimic patterns of words, probabilistically. When they’re “right” it’s because correct things are often written down, so those patterns are frequent. That’s all.

It's been a very rough time. My industry has been anemic this last couple of years. Those of us with outside certs or experience are finding some things, but All the industries seem to be hurting. I wish I had a good answer for not feeling a failure about things that aren't our fault.
