Toy #4: Fluff and Tuff Charlie Triceratops

Pippin picked her out for his birthday, at the pet store. Charlie has this weird habit of landing on all fours. So no matter how she's dropped, she ends up upright. Sometimes I come into the room just to find her standing there, waiting. #dogsofbluesky

Toy #3: Mammoth Flossy Chews Bone

This is marketed as a tough toy. Since Pipp started shredding it immediately, I thought it was bs at first, but actually it's held up super well! It's our go-to for tug and is constantly covered in dog drool. 💦 #poodles #dogsofbluesky

As with cardboard boxes, it is Pippin Standard Policy for all foreign paper products to: nosily investigate, get his drool all over it, and then tear apart. It's very important work. Inspector Pipp must inspect. 🔎

When I gave him a bath after this I had to shampoo his paws three times. What is it about his fur that is such a mud magnet? I thought poodles were supposed to be water resistant! 😅

Sometimes I look at Pippin and announce to my husband, "He's not really a dog; he's more like just some weirdo that lives with us." 💙

#Poodles really are just... such strange dogs. I'm not sure I could get any other breed now. I've stared into the face of weirdness, and he stares right back at me.

Throwback Thursday: Almost exactly two years ago, Pippin was still waiting for his final vaccines and couldn't yet go to the groomer. He needed a haircut so bad!

People kept asking me if he was a doodle, and with his long straight/wavy puppy hair, who could blame them?
