My thoughts on our “island of strangers”……
lines around my eyes are starting to show. There’s grey in my hair & I carry more weight than I should but I’m happy. At 43 I have a gorgeous husband, home, cats, amazing friends & loving, healthy family. It’s taken a while to get here. There were days when it felt impossible to imagine. #gratitude

I’m 43 next month. I’ve recently started to care more about my health rather than appearance but do you know what? Looking after your health seems to have some positive knock on effects!! Cutting out sugar & gluten means my skin is healthier, I’m sleeping better & losing weight!

This is so close to the mark it gives me chills. I lived with someone who called me an embarrassment, “too much”, fat, lazy, an idiot. He hid food from me. Gaslit me & isolated me from my friends. Ground me down until I was nothing. I’m still rebuilding. #Trauma #Abuse #Survivor

If your actions in the classroom/school in ANY way bear resemblance to oppression of the rights of the child then you will, eventually, sit down to a banquet of your own nastiness. We do NOT educate in order to wield power like lunatics. Just STOP IT ALREADY!!!
