Research has proven that workplaces and educational spaces that involve empathy as a key training practice literally increases productivity. That’s why it’s important that the #What’sYourSpark theme is vital: we cannot close the skills gap in the next generation if we don’t practice it ourselves.

As educators and leaders, we serve to teach that courage and empathy work hand in hand to ensure successful careers for others and outstanding achievements in the workplace. Through our own vulnerability and a willingness to understand others, we are quite literally closing the skills gap.
