It might seem like I am being obnoxious posting these posts every day but it’s just me trying to vent a little. #firstgrade #teacherlife #stressed

I can’t even go to the bathroom when I want/need to. Is it like this at jobs where there are only adults? I’m just becoming burnt out and it’s only December. Comfy mode is activated and is serious one of the highlights of my day.

The pay isn’t fabulous and don’t even come at me for having summers off. I need that so I don’t have a mental break down. Is there any other job where you have to be “on” all day? I get hardly any down time at all.

Update parents about grades/behavior, keep an organized classroom, fix all the gaps in these kids education, basically perform miracles daily. Life is tough and teaching only adds to it. I swear I was asked over 1000 questions today and probably heard my name about as many times.

Most can’t read independently at grade level so independent work is nearly impossible. I’m expected to show learning gains and some of these kids are blank slates. I have to grade papers, enter them into the computer and manage 22 6/7 year olds.
