Another "tough maze" from my page-a-day calendar. 🙄

Also? I apparently picked the exact same color as my skin. I didn't mean to do that. I thought it was a soft glimmery pink. It's actually 'vitamin-d deficient caucasian' I need a stylist to knock bad decisions out of my hands. Good gravy. At least I'll have a gauge for how badly i get sunburned...

I have 3 different amaryllis varieties all blooming at once right now - Spartacus, Mandela and Bolero. They're just lovely.
Amaryllis Hippeastrum var. Spartacus in bloom Amaryllis Hippeastrum var. Spartacus in bloom Amaryllis Hippeastrum var. Mandela, juuuust beginning to open - the blooms are a rich, dark wine red, or black cherry color. Amaryllis Hippeastrum var. Bolero in bloom. Bolero is a vivid pink bloom.

Something beautiful: my Amaryllis Hippeastrum (Spartacus var.) is a late bloomer, but boy is she gorgeous! I have the pot on a 3.5' table and the stalk stands above my head. Shes loving her life, I think!

I finished a cute little stuffed fox over the weekend - I cut the pieces out in March of 2017! Glad I managed to get it done and move it out of my to-do queue! The little face just. It's so cute.

I finished my first quilt last night - I bought the fabric as a kit in 2003, but was too scared to cut it until 2020. It was quilted by Pam Wingate at the Best Little Retreat Center in Texas in 2024 and it's finally done! Pattern is called "Big and Bold", and it was a joy to make!

Something lovely - my Bolero amaryllis is blooming her head off and she's just the most spectacular shade of pink. She was a slower start than the blooms on my Mandela amaryllis, but that just means the blooms aren't clashing with each other in the pot. Sigh. She's so lovely.

Meet my "new" antique circular sock machine. She told me her name is Lady Mildred, so I got her accessories with her name on them.

Lady Mildred is over 100 years old and was cranking out socks for soldiers in WWI, and now she is In Residence at my house, cranking out socks for me and my loved ones.

Some quilting lines appear in gray on the surface of the fabric, but the quilting lines don't correspond with the half-circles- the quilting is in the shape of stylized martini glasses, swoops and swirls.
