Name a poorly rated movie you love. 🎬

So awful, so delightful.

The canceled TV show that you'll never stop thinking about.

So far ahead of its time...one glorious season, only 4 episodes ever aired. Adrian Pasdar is brilliant antihero.

Best Movies of 2024!

1. The First Omen (dir. Arkasha Stevenson)

“Watching a movie like this makes me so happy for the future of cinema and what more could we ask for? This is the world for so many of us film lovers. “The First Omen” was made for us.”

2024 Fav Films!

2. Blitz (dir. Steve McQueen)

“Steve McQueen takes such care, such time and patience, and love! It’s so obvious that he absolutely loved making this movie! Every detail, every moment was a meticulous expression, and it was an absolute wonder to behold.”

Best movies of the year!

3. Dune: Part Two (dir. Denis Villeneuve

“Stunning! It’s so great to see a film in this day and age of HD-easy-simulated-design-blase that has so much visual heart, so much depth upon its celluloid skin.”

My favorite films of the year!

4. Love Lies Bleeding (dir. Rose Glass)

“This movie is whack! It almost doesn’t matter what’s really going on because I can just sit for days watching these extreme close-ups of rich beautiful bodies, a dream with the camera.”

Best films of 2024!

5. MaXXXine (dir. Ti West)

“West manages to immerse us in a haze of fear and suspense curdling at the edges of every frame. This is not for the faint of heart…”

My fav movies of 2024

6. Rebel Ridge (dir. Jeremy Saulnier)

“Aaron Pierre embodied everything that we want in a hero (we’ll be seeing more of him after this!) and he was all of us as we continue to hear about/see despicable tales of corruption in our greedy police state culture.”

Top films of 2024!

7. Thelma (dir. Josh Margolin)

“Such a human affair about a demographic that is often forgotten. There were so many beautiful and strange moments, and hilarious intimate scenes that felt completely natural. A labor of love film, fersure!”

Best movies of 2024

8. Didi (dir. Sean Wang)

“I saw a poster with the tagline “Hilarious coming of age…” and it’s quite clear that the reviewer didn’t watch the movie, in the same way that Wang Wang didn’t watch “Star Wars”.”

9. Trap (dir. M. Night Shyalaman)

“The cinematic movement here was really present, in the moment, step by step through the process of cat and mouse storytelling from the perspective of the mouse.”

10. Lisa Frankenstein (dir. Zelda Williams)

“The final eye roll at end, when the creature finally has a voice is just classic! I can just picture my 16 year old daughter reacting exactly like that.” boxd.it/7Elbz5

#RS500 480. There’s some solid country vibes here and there’s some schlocky crap. But the main issue I had with this album is that Lambert sings in a cartoon voice. I kept picturing her as a cartoon cat flashing her lashes at the cartoon dog while she’s up on stage in some Disney animated movie.

#RS500 481. Struggling through some of these albums and this one is the first where I really question the inclusion. I get that people love B&S and their vibe is pretty chill, which I usually dig. This is just boring and it’s mostly Stuart Murdoch. I like them so much more when he’s not singing.

#RS500 482. Never listened to The Pharcyde for some reason but this album is right in line with all the other jazz-based hip-hop that came out in the early 90s. This group was having a lot of fun and you can feel that energy in the record. It wasn’t amazing, for me, but I enjoyed my time with it.

#RS500 483. I know that I said that I wouldn’t do box-sets but, come on, it’s Muddy Waters! His Chicago Blues is such an influential foundation of rock and grunge and outlaw country. I didn’t listen to every song but the pristine guitar work and raspy tone is just sublime. He’s one of the greats

Post a PERFECT album from the 90s that isn't Nirvana or Pearl Jam or The Breeders or Soul Coughing or They Might Be Giants

#RS500 484. Pretty generic dance music that isn’t really my cup of tea, unless I’m in a black-light mind-numbing heat-stained dance club. LG has an incredible voice, so rich with endless range, but these songs just end up blending into one entity. Though, they are a bit infectious by the end, IMA.

#RS500 485. I’m so glad to discover this Irish Country music from the 70s. I grew up with similar music in my family home but never heard Richard & Linda before. I enjoyed the heck out of it and shall put it in my fav rotation. I could hear hints of The Pogues, a band I adore, on a couple of songs!

#RS500 486. This just reminds me why I was never a fan of Mayer. It’s milquetoast blues. While I can recognize the clean guitar work and how people gravitate toward its adult sound, for me it comes across as saccharine-rich and soulless. My entire being starts rejecting it after a handful of songs.

#RS500 487. Raw energy, right? Pure youth thrashing out at the dawn, howling in the hurricane that will become their windswept future. I get it. I’ve been at shows like this, mosh pit delirium, brain scattered madness, that revels in the now. It’s just not music that I listen to with great ease.

#RS500 488. First time listen for me, as I always thought The Stooges were too punk for me. You can hear all the influences from the era, The Kinks, Jimi, but this sounds really fresh, timeless even. Iggy’s voice is not very good, so it helps to have a lot of charisma and passion for some. A winner!
