Finally finished him, several months after I started. Wedding planning, family illness, and minor surgery really takes chunks out of your painting time!

Progress on the wedding shawl tonight. Hoping to have it finished in time for my hen do in 2 weeks!

Playing with some colouring pencils in advance of a project I've been dreaming of for years. Small scale, not amazing I know, but I'm learning how to best blend and how to use the pencils together. I'm happy so far! Progress not perfection as they say! #art #colouredpencils #blinkfox #hearthstone

I'm actually playing Warhammer tomorrow, and I had all the models assembled for a 2k list except for Sigvald.

So I took a break from the Lord Discordant to paint Sigvald, knowing it would take forever because I paint in sub assembly.

Peeps, I have cracked the code. Today's progress (~8 hours):

The model is on a sculpted base which consists of sand and mosaic tiles, and has purple and copper sculpted body armour, but nothing covering the model's bottom or the back of its thighs. The left hand is currently empty but the right hand holds a sword, which graduates from a metallic dark blue at the hilt end to a metallic light purple at the tip. Did some more work on my fiancé's Lord Discordant model this evening - pretty happy with how it's looking so far!

(I promised to paint it for him years ago and have finally followed through)

This lovely little fountain pen is over 20 years old. The section is damaged due to a decade of daily use. I've never gotten rid of it due to sentimental value. I've been struggling to find a way to repair/replace the section for years, but stepped up the search recently. 1/2

I teared up reading this last night - as someone who is estranged from her parents, has already legally rejected their name, and is set to marry an incredible man and take his name in less than a year, this really hit home.

The finished Keeper of Secrets! I'm so very happy with how this turned out, and very much enjoyed playing it in the Twin-Linked Doubles tournament at Bristol Independent Gaming yesterday!

It has long flowing robes in dark pink, with a greenish-gold sheen. It has a long purple ponytail atop its goat-like head, and it's horns are protected by gold. So very happy with the progress on my Keeper of Secrets. The golden sheen on the robes is achieved with a fountain pen ink (Troublemaker Adarna).

Cleaning fountain pens is no joke. I've been at this for hours now and I've not even finished half of my collection 🤣😅😭
