I think people are way too comfortable with having access to each other at an unprecedented prevalence and need to be kicked in the face a little here and there, just as a reminder that only some of us are friends. Others are simply tolerated at best. Less charitably, their presence is *suffered.*

So much qualia to be experienced, so many goals to achieve, so much life to be lived, and not nearly enough hours in a day, nor days in a week, nor weeks in a year. I can only hope that the rest of my early 20's are blessed and cursed with this constant inundation of both obligation and fulfillment.
