Employment has given me a lot of boons, structure and rigidity being two of the foremost, but it's also robbed me of a lot of the inherent wonder I had up until my undergrad years. I have neither the wherewithal nor time to hunker down on games like Stardew Valley and lose myself in their worlds.

My personal philosophy is pretty syncretic, I'd say. Despite being raised as a Protestant Baptist, I have a lot of Catholic guilt that I feel still keeps me human, but there are some LaVeyan rules that I very much practice in interacting with the general public in the digital realm.

Multiple times in my adult life, I feel like I've pushed past the point that I was reasonably expected to reach, and every day past that feels like bonus content. DLC, even. Usually, this is a revelation to bring me tears of joy, but sometimes, like now, I am overcome with a wave of exhaustion.

I think people could stand to be kinder to their fellow man a lot more, especially when it comes to money. Government assistance programs are great and all, but I earnestly feel that those with disposable income should feel more compelled to give a $10 or $20 to the panhandler at their corner store.
