I got approximately 30,000 things done today. I am unrecognizable to myself when I take performance enhancing drugs (energy drinks). Currently waiting for my homemade spaghetti sauce to simmer to a nice consistency.

Things in the garden are looking up. The peonies have poked up their little red heads, my first lettuce sprouted in the greenhouse, the yarrow and iris and prairie smoke I planted last fall are coming back. The buds on the lilacs are full and green. In a couple of weeks, the backyard will feel new.

Got to recommend a book to someone last night who was looking to get into reading. He wanted a shorter sci-fi with aliens or superheroes. I gave him Kaiju Preservation Society by @scalzi.com. Not aliens or superheroes exactly… but I hope he likes it anyway
