I 100% agree. I know people are very excited to see Yozora be the spiritual incarnation of Noctis, but I just genuinely believe versus 13’s story is something that is much stronger when stood alone instead of being crammed with existing IP. Here’s to hoping it will one day come to fruition 🙏

Exactly, especially when this story had been planned to be a trilogy. The different mediums we saw were actually parts of the game that we would have played through, but because things had been cut and reworked, they were released in such a way. I don’t blame Tabata for how he handled it.

Final Fantasy 15. When I had followed its development with Versus 13 and then their first pivot to FF 15, I thought it was going to be a genre defining moment. 15 is a fine game, but once you learn its history, it’s hard to not think about what it could have been.
