In my opinion this is THE 3D Mario. The only other 3D Mario that beats it in a variety of content in my opinion is Odyssey. So glad this got ported to Switch.

Probably the biggest surprise of this year for me was Nightmare Reaper, a fast paced boomer shooter that ignites all those neurons in my heads. I will be coming back to do the NG+.

Finished Homebody this morning. While I loved the puzzles being fairly straightforward and the story is good (very coming of age story), I felt like the actual scary aspect of this game was lessen to no real penalty when you die. Not too long or difficult though, easy to chew and fun to think about.

I played the Layers of Fear Remake and finished the remake of 1 and I forgot how much of the story is just this.

Last night, I finished the Ghost of Yotei. I noticed people call this a safe sequel, but the themes of this game compared to the first are wildly different, and they definitely have improved upon making the world feel alive. The new combat mechanics make it feel different enough to stand on its own.

I figured a screenshot of the text would be better than to try a thread. I wrote on how I felt about Silksong (no spoilers on mechanics, items, zones). I wanted to write something as someone who has waited years and years for this sequel. It's not eloquent but its my feelings.

My journey in #Silksong has come to an end. Through some of the most brutal and challenging fights I've encountered in a 2D platformer, a thoroughly satisfying ending, and a delightful cast of characters and lore. The wait was well worth it, where is my collectors edition Team Cherry?

I promised to not post any gameplay until its been a while, so another bench photo. Really nice to play a game that humbles you, I always feel like I've gotten incredibly good at platformers over the years, and this one proved me wrong.

Slept on Getsufumaden Undying Moon for a while and decided to finally give it try. The art style is insane and while the game starts off rough combat wise, when you get adapted it really starts to shine.
