Former campaign staffer for some Minnesota Dems. Wife, mom, wannabe hobby farmer. Too many pets. Almost always have a foster dog around, too.
I gave up my Danish citizenship when I was 21, but still consider myself a proud Dane. I love this & support it 100%.

I think TikTok goes dark tomorrow despite President Biden saying he won’t enforce the ban. People will be angry. Then, Trump signs an Executive Order giving TikTok 90 more days & boom, it’s back. And Trump saved it! Then a right wing billionaire buys it.

A massive political blunder on our end.

This is a broad generalization, but it feels like DC Dems are just fumbling over & over. The vibes aren't there, and neither is the spine. What's going on?

I'm predicting that Trump is going to somehow "save" TikTok, solidifying a massive wave of support from TikTok users.

Meanwhile, Congressional Dems who voted for the ban will continue to wonder where they went wrong with those same voters.

Another entirely preventable fumble by Dems in DC.

While I love the FAFO era, I'll just say that when the working class right-wingers finally start realizing that they've been played by billionaires, I'm gonna welcome them with open arms. Not necessarily to the Democratic Party, but to whoever is going to stand against the oligarchy.

There's something brewing in the GOP's "let's buy other countries / acquire new territories" proposals. I don't know what it is yet, but Trump wants Greenland, Canada & Panama, Indiana wants part of Illinois, Iowa wants part of Minnesota. There's some foreshadowing here.

I hosted an event today called Resistance in the Trump Era 2.0. & over 120 people attended. We talked about what is being done in various spaces to prep for a Trump admin, what the election data tells us, and why messaging matters.

My bucket is full. Thanks to everyone who attended.

Is anyone else having a hard time stomaching Pod Save America anymore?

I've been a happy listener for almost 7 years but since November, I can barely make it through an episode. I feel like they've learned nothing from what just happened.

I don't have a lot of followers here (boo) but I just want to say that I don't give AF that Biden pardoned Hunter. Good for him. I'd do anything to protect my kids, too.

What has been your coping mechanism since the election? Mine has been aquariums. Free entertainment for the dogs & cats I guess.

I'm still on the Twitters, and I posted that I was given a quote for a boiler repair today.

The technician warned that material costs are going up next year so if we wait to do the repair until 2025, the quote won't be accurate anymore.

Bad news guys, MAGA still doesn't know how tariffs work.

I channel a lot of my anxiety into animal related hobbies. This year has been heavily aquarium-focused.

I set up a new planted tank this week & added a betta. Birdie the puppy has discovered our new friend.

It snowed in Minnesota yesterday and all I can think about is how I didn't pick up dog poop ahead of time & if the snow doesn't melt before "real" winter, that shit is gonna be there for months.

Many Trump voters are going to start questioning what they've done sometime in the next 4 years, and liberals need to be ready to accept them into ranks. Not the overtly racist, sexist ones, but the average low info voter. We have to be ready to receive them, however that looks.

A former intern who I've hired across multiple campaigns & opportunities, managed his first campaign this year. This kid has a gift for politics.

He just texted me that his candidate for the Montana State House won - flipping the seat by 20 votes. Words cannot express how proud I am of him.

Indeed. When they rounded up the Japanese Americans, myself and my family included, for internment during WWII out of fear over Japanese spies and saboteurs, two thirds of us were U.S. citizens.

Don’t think it won’t happen again when they come for the “undocumented.”

So apparently it has been 60 years since Democrats have won the white vote in Presidential elections.

What sin did Democrats commit 60 years ago that caused white voters to abandon them? President Lyndon Johnson, a Democrat, passed the Voting Rights Act.

My 3yo just came up to me, shoved his thumb in my face, and said, "Can you believe this? I can't believe this."

It was a hangnail.

Meet my foster dog Rosie. She's cute AF and it blows my mind that no one has applied to adopt her. Not even a hint of interest.

If you're looking for a buddy to get you through the next four years, consider this chunky sweet potato. She is perfection, obviously.

If we can get our messaging right, starting now.
In two years, Democrats are going to retake the House with a vengeance.

If we all watch Idiocracy every day for the next two years, we just might be prepared to start looking for a Presidential candidate who can speak to the masses.
Not sure the movie Idiocracy was meant to be a suggestion but here we are

Hey friends, we can complain all day about what the Dems did / didn't do this election cycle, but did you know that your local party is made up of people just like you? That candidates are chosen by those who go to the monthly meetings, put on fundraisers, join candidate committees, etc?
