I'm going to have to get that signal for the raised track restored at some point. A go over with the sand blaster and a complete repaint is what's called for. ~ Corps.

The shunter's shed down at the old mine display is undergoing maintenance, so Puffa and Hector the 08 are spending time in the main engine sheds for a while till repairs are completed.
Just means it'll take a while longer for the coaches to arrive at the platform. ~ Whitehouse

Fast Eddie offered to help sweep Betty's chimney as it had been clogged yesterday evening with soot. We have a modified loo brush which does the job, but Eddie thought attaching it to a drill would make the job go faster. Now Betty's chimney is clogged with a brush and soot! Flipping-eck!~ Casey.

Lady Grange and Betty are on service today.

"Jumping cold it was too, that morning, but little steam engines love the cold weather"

I've a good fire in her ladyship and plenty of steam. So it should be a good day's run. ~ Casey.

Whitehouse and Puffa are currently helping at Drumawhey this week and Hector is in for it's yearly servicing. So we've had to get a temp shunter to arrange the trains this week. ~ Casey.

We asked Michael if we could share some new content with you all. ATM his studio is undergoing some maintenance work, but hopes to be resuming filming again soon. Plus he promised us a visit on Saturday with some friends. Looking forward to it. ~ Corps.

Went to the railway this morning to do a survey of what damage has been done. Part of a tree has come down in the storm, but shouldn't take too long to clear away. A few other branch have landed on the ground eve track and they too will need to be cleared.
With luck we'll soon be back in business.

If they make this and have it fitted with DCC sound it would sound amazing. Especially with its two whistles. But then, nothing beats driving the real thing. ~ Casey.

Even the raised tracks have a few special engines out for display runs including miniature versions of Rocket, Lion and a few others. Some fine examples of miniature engineering. ~ Corps.

This weekend we have quite the number of visiting engines to our little railway to Celebrate 200 years of the modern railway. Even though we are a miniature railway, we don't want to miss out in taking part in the celebrations. Special trains will be departing from the station later today. ~ Cars.

Betty is out in steam on the track today, after a small period of rest from the summer workload. Lady Grange will follow shortly.
I'm told that we're going to be extra busy the rest of this year as Drumawhey is now closed for the rest of this year while undergoing repairs to one of its main bridges

Looking through our archives has uncovered several new things we never knew about our little railway. At one point in time we had full covered coaches. Sadly we don't know who owned them or where they went after this photo was taken. I'll ask around sometime tomorrow. ~ Cars.

On Sunday we managed to get a brief moment with Michael, Kirsty and two NEW members of the Miniature Railway voice cast to have this photo taken next to MIKE the small engine from the Railway Series Books. Such great fun indeed. (2/3)

We had a great time at the Talyllyn Railway and what an event the Awdry Extravaganza was. We didn't see much of Michael during the event as he was busy helping out with the exhibits up and down the line. Still at least we got to see some really interesting items while there. (1/3)

A few of us are going to be visiting the Talyllyn Railway next week.
I decided to stay behind this time and sort some work out on her ladyship. I'll get some holiday leave probably in August but we'll see.
Have fun at the extravaganza, guys. ~ Casey.

We've been very busy today at the miniature railway, getting ready for our important visitors who will be arriving tomorrow evening for the next Miniature Railway Adventures script read through. We're expecting new friends and exciting new adventures.
Will let you know how we get on tomorrow.~Corps

So to try and get more posts made on this platform, we decided to see what you guys thought of the first series made of The Miniature Railway Adventures before the animated series gets made. Which was your fav ep and why? ~ Corps.

"So, um...do we have anything to share from the Animated series, Jane?"

"There's always this storyboard still Michael gave us once to share. Think that might do?"

"Only one way to find out..." ~ Corps & Jane

Sunny days at the railway today.
We had visiting engine, The Royal Scot, returning to have a run around the tracks and the raised track has a fine collection of engines out on the line. Whitehouse is taking today off, so Matt is doing the shunting today - oddly enough with Betty. ~ Corps.

Case, it's half one in the morning right now.

Can't you wait till a more suitable time? ~ Jane.

While Betty was dealing with the day's passenger traffic, I was busy seeing to some visiting engines that had come to the railway. This 7 1/4 gauge Black 5 and this beautiful 5 inch 4-4-0. Personally, the Black 5 is the best. ~ Casey.

All green engines out on the line today. Happy St Paddy's Day Everyone!!!

We mentioned the engine a few times in the audiobooks but as of late the engine is no longer with us. About 4-5years back it was taken in to the care of Jane's cousin who is currently overhauling the engine. When it's due back in service, we don't know as of late. But still a nice engine - Casey.

I was asked bout an engine that we used to have at the railway. Wee Booby is a grasshopper engine. Some would say it's a coffeepot but we call it a grasshopper from the way the pistons are arranged. It used to belong to Jane's grandfather, Robert Wilkinson, and built by an old friend of mine. (1/2)
