This is the kind of book I'd love to read aloud in class. It's beautifully written and really evokes the atmosphere of the original Frankenstein novel. Gorgeous illustrations too... @walkerbooksuk.bsky.social #EduSky

You know when a picture book prompts a powerful physical feeling? I can't wait to use this with KS2. One of my favourite lines is: "much of the space creatures' way of life does not seem to have any practical purpose. they do things...simply for the joy of it." @walkerbooksuk.bsky.social #EduSky

I'm trying to do one outdoor swim per month and realised yesterday I hadn't done one in September! Had the place to myself. It was FREEZING in the water!

It's Philip Ardagh, what more do I need to say?! This book takes everything that children love about Old MacDonald and turns it into a fantastically engaging story. As you might expect, it's packed with humour and chaos! This book is a joy to read aloud. @walkerbooksuk.bsky.social

I'm giving this a roar of approval! This is not your average dinosaur book. Simon Mole's poems are fact-filled, funny, beautifully rhythmic. Paired with Matt Hunt's bold, vibrant art, this book is a total joy. @walkerbooksuk.bsky.social

This is such a beautiful and tender book, linking folklore with a deeply personal story of loss and remembrance. Rain connects with her grandmother through the ancient legend of the moon rabbit. This book could really help children process complicated emotions... @walkerbooksuk.bsky.social
