There are no rules for grief. I no longer really do Christmas. I have not looked at my decorations. Too many memories.
Start a new tradition as a family. Maybe book a meal out somewhere.
Some people will volunteer at Hope Cottage instead of doing the whatever was traditional in their family.

So, Hallowe'en.
I live on a road with no sidewalks. I haven't had any trick-or-treaters in over 15 years. Just in case, I bought a bag of 25 peanut butter cups and a bag of 23 (???) Oh Henry bars.
I have 48 treats left.
