Whenever I hear someone dogmatically saying "the moves MUST begin and end with the fiction" I always want to crack open Apocalypse World and pull out pretty much any example from the book.

Someone to play as Mr Bones, Emilia's talking skull. Now, Mr Bones is ostensibly on Emilia's side (figuratively and literally), so you'd probably think, "this is another player type roll" And you would be correct. But Mr Bones can't really do things without Emilia, and they're not happy about that, so maybe if the player taking the role of Emilia has a frenemy, that's your optimal person right there.
