On 7th to 8th of Feb I took a series of images of the comet C/2022 E3 (ZTF). I made a short video of it via compiling 7x30s exposures. You can clearly see that the comet moves in that short time as well.

I always wear these - but I need to make new ones very soon! Because it was right after I finished my master’s thesis I couldn’t do anything (like making a jacket … although I had a couple of ideas). I went to the concert without any friendship bracelets and got 4 on the way back. So cool.

Taylor also announced the Eras Tour in Nov 2022 and started on the 17th of March 2023 and ended on the 8th of December 2024. I went to her concert in Gelsenkirchen (GK) on the 19th of July - a couple of days after I finished my master’s thesis. Tickets were sold on 17. November 2023 for GK.

#WaveGenerator… Made this application with #python. It is a tool for the #simulatiom of propagation of a #TransversalWave and it shows the speed of the wave and its wavelength and how it correlates to the “driver” (that is making the waves). That project is actually not finished… #physics #science

With the help of #ChatGPT I was able to create this (a lot of bugs that had to be debugged though): #AtomicOrbitals. There are three options, showing the #SignedLobes or the actual #probability of an electron’s position and also a blend-in view of all the #orbitals of a shell n.

I was interested if you could simulate a tiny box containing particles and show what temperature it would have using the #BoltzmannDistribution as a chi^2 fit. This is the result…

Because in school you probably don’t have a machine like that, I thought a #simulation would be great. #physics #python

For a while now I was working on my own #python #program that can create #fractals like the #mandelbrot #fractal. It is still not perfect because there is always something to improve but it is running great already creating beautiful images.

Making a #StarChart myself using the #hipparcos catalogue. I converted all data like RA, DEC, PLX und Vmag into x, y, z and Vmag_absolut. With that I can reconstruct the RA, DEC and Vmag. It is intended to show changes to #constellation (missing) while observing from other systems.

Today I got the #FUJIFILM #MacroExtensionTube 11mm - MCEX-11. In these pictures are very tiny things… Like a #Fly in #Amber, or super fine structure of #Pyrite, or the dust on the plant on my window or the #veins in my right eye (you see even a color difference (O2 rich/low). #macrofotography
A fly in amber. You can clearly see two flies in this piece of amber, both at the bottom of this yellow or golden stone. This is a huge piece of pyrite, a mineral made of iron and sulphur (iron(ii)disulfide). It looks almost like gold, hence the name fool’s gold. It creates cubes that can grow into each other like seen in this picture. This is a leaf of a spider plant. And because it is placed on the window shelf it gets a bit dusty if I open the window. You can clearly see the dust on it. Pretty awesome detail for a fake macro (because it is an extension tube). This picture shows an image of my right eye. It is hazel and you can see rings that are called contraction furrows (thinned out pigments). I think a lot of people have them. So, it is nothing special. On the right side in (?!) the eye you can see veins. One is rosa/pink and the other is like a brownish color. Pink is oxygenated blood (cherry red color) while browning is (dark red) blood that lacks oxygen. Hence the shift in color…

#PartialSolarEclipse happening just now. Well, taking image second after second. 😅 Clouds may cover the sun sometimes but I just go with it.
No worries, I am using a #BaaderFoil, this is a filter that block more than 99% of the sun light.

Some days ago I posted a clip about a #3D representation of 300 #BrightestStars seen from #Earth in the #neighbourhood of our #solarsystem. So far I did a some progress today… Now getting rid of the cube and replacing it with a circular plane showing radii in light years.
