I read the Observer interview with Zack Polanski and found the article a bit underwhelming? Not what Zack says I hasten to add, I just think they could have made a lot more out of the concept of going on a walk. It seemed neither interview nor walk to me.

People suggesting that AI can help the loneliness epidemic aren't realized how dangerous becoming accustomed to a constant affirmation machine can be.
Real human interactions aren't universally positive and no one responds to everything with "what a brilliant suggestion you well hung genius"
