Starting to wonder if the Internet was a good idea.

Views expressed are my own.
This is true, it was more true in the Cold War, it was a lot more true before Trump.

When we rebuild after Trump. We should end America’s special position. America should be as subject to rules as any European democracy. We must make the web of alliances into an alliance of democracies.

Still responsible, still fuck em, still need them to vote Democrat in 2026 and 2028.

Yes. And if you could show me the wall and the cheque from Mexico you will have convinced me that no business leader would believe that Trump would fail to follow through on a campaign promise.

I think this is a big part of the coalition. One way is they may not have believed him. Politicians promise a lot. Tax cuts happen, mass deportations are more unprecedented.

As we’re seeing, they’re hard and unpopular.

I would say that not caring and being careless are pretty closely related…

If you go and knock on a door, or listen to Sarah Longwell’s excellent focus group podcast, I think you would be amazed at what voters sometimes know and don’t know.

Some may have missed them. Some may not have believed. Some may not have understood the implications.

All are still responsible.

They may want now want to vote against what they previously voted for.

There is a difference between excusing their responsibility and explaining the actions of careless people.

We’re all responsible for our actions. But signs or no, I’m sure what is going on is a rude awakening for at least some 2024 Trump voters.

Can this be fixed state by state?

We’ve just had a baby in the UK; scans, checks, trip to triage for braxton hicks, birth, 3/4 midwife follow up appointments, now we’re on to health visitors… all free.

Still stressful for a first time parent but I’ve never been more grateful to our NHS.

We’re all political tacticians now. We fail to see the importance of body language on people who are not political nerds.

But you’re right. To draw a line under Trump the next POTUS will need to show us that he was unacceptable. Saying it will not be enough.

This was a fabulous podcast episode. Sometimes you have to let the old man thoughts come out.

That’s great but you just tweeted it and I’m commenting and the algorithm will surface this… he’s not winning because newspapers endorsed him. He’s winning because he’s dominant on social media all the time.

Nope. The Ad campaign for Civil War was all AI slop.

I use Google drive, but under the hood I think that's the same system.
