Thorgal is a comic book series set in a vikings world, with lots of mythology, but also sci-fi elements (the main character dropped from the sky. And this is a trailer for a video game.

Been reading them since I was kid, though it's not targeted towards them exactly.

BEHOLD, my first horror book !
A cover for the kids' book "Le jour du Mange-Poussin" which would translate as "The day of the baby-chicks Eater" On the cover is a drawing of scared chicks running away from two monsters. Most of the babies are wearing a mask. Some wear things like an apple, a faucet or a hammer as a mask. The faucet one didn't see the monster and is not running so it might get eaten. The monsters have big ears, big noses, big teeth, hungry eyes. Their faces and colors evoke foxes but they have round bodies like balls and human-like hands. One is small, though bigger than the chicks, and one is big. Both are scary.

At first it seems like he's trying to hide from us, but considering the manga's story, he might also be trying to do something to us. Thbe background is grey, with lots of droplets on it. There's also the title, of course, and the author's name, but also a few lines that read: "Eternal Sabbath - A gene created by the insatiable desire for eternal life. It is a miraculous gene that gives you immunity to every virus plus 200 years of life".

Day 19: Everyday - Kiriko Nananan
A cover for "Everyday". It's a very simple drawing of a young woman's profile, from the waist up. There's no shading, and no coloring, except for her black hair. Other than that, there are only the lines on the blue background. It conveys a kind of emptiness, I feel.

It has a HUGE collar that would be not practical at all in real life. It's a huge dress in general. I doubt she can move much, but that's okay, because she's the empress so she doesn't have to move, people will bring her whatever she wants to have.

A friendly circus and hungry swamp ~
A drawing of a snail standing before a wall of stones. And on that wall is a poster announcing that a circus is in town. It reads "Come see the CIRCUS". The poster is very bright, with lots of colors, except, at the center of it, is a kind of clown that's all in white, except for the red in his eyes and on his teeth. He's got a round face and his body is basically shaped like tires put on top of each other. Think something between "caterpillar" and "the Michelin tire man" The title of the drawing is "The circus is in town !" A drawing titled "A dangerous swamp". It's a drawing of, well, a swamp, with huge trees that have their roots in the muddy, greenish water. There are also three animals. An alligator, half hidden in the water, with a snail on its head, and a huge, huge bird. The bird has long legs, a long neck, a beak like a pelican, a blue solid crest, and red eyes. It doesn't look super friendly.

The first ones I'm not super happy with the colors, but for some reason, there's something very satisfying about the third one for me. I think they remind of of those duplos toys I had as a kid :'D
On the left page: the original doodle of an animal with a rabbit head, but a body shaped kinda like a (small gorilla), except its front legs are also wings. On the right page: a treet at night. It has three branches on which are several bat-rabbits. There's also a hole with more bat-rabbits in it. The drawing is just shades of grey, some bat-rabbits are only black silhouettes, except for the white eyes, that glow in the dark, because they're nocturnal animals. The title is "A nice home for the whole family". A drawing of a sea creature jumping out of the water. It has the body of a snake, but a face that's between a fish and a croc, I think ? The face is worn almost like a mask, and two strings of flesh come out it, roping around the snake body, then merging with it, and fanning out again in one huge fish tail. It's a little difficult to describe. The main body is aquablue, the fleshy ruban things are purple, and they all merge in the pink of the tail. The background is a mix of all those colours with splashes of water and little white dots to make it shiny. I didn't really nail any of it though. The title is "Guardian of the sea". A drawing of two guards on top of a tower. One of them is shaped like a blue brick, kinda, and the other is yellow, has a round face and his helmet are cones put on top of each other. The brick guard has holes in his blue brick, and from the hole we can see, a hand emerges, holding a blue lance with a blue cubic shape at the end of it. The yellow cone guard has a lance with a yellow cone shape at the end. The cone guard is very small so it can barely see over the wall. The tower is kinda wonky, the bricks form a wave, not so much a straight line. The title of the drawing is "Guarding the castle !"

Day 17: Hanazakari no Kimitachi e - Nakajo Hisaya
A (french) cover for volume one of Hana Kimi. It was a flowery, soft and light background. On top of that background is a framed rectangle, and in that rectangle, a portrait of three characters. Two boys, one with blond hair, the other with dark hair. The third character is a young woman dressed and hair styled like the boys.

An attempt at perspective. I tried to draw a street and failed so I put a little, badly drawn character with a cape onna building and wrote an arrow and "Batman" next to it.
