I love HD texture packs, they're so normal looking and aesthetically fit nicely, you can barely notice them

Rather shocked that within a day I went from knowing nothing about writing USB drivers to still not knowing, but managing to control Speed Editor LEDs with #Rust and rusb/libusb. (The hard part really is that there's no developer documentation for the device.)

Good gravy. They do this but still won't give me 24bit color with 16b parallel MCU interface. #ILI9488

I love LFOs so much. thanks to @chrisbiscardi.bsky.social for pointing out bevy_color already is no_std ready so I could just use OKLCH to move the hue, lightness and chroma gradually.

Another day, another dev board ( #ESP32 S3, ILI9488; Elecrow DLC35010R). No engine, no OS, no_std, and only minor pain! (The display interface is parallel 16b and idk yet how to overclock it, it's slow.)

setting up dev env + template: 10 min
figuring out the weird pinout: a few hours
learning what an IO expander is + driver + PWM for the LCD backlight: a few hours
trying to use the wrong ILI9341 driver: 2 days
setting up the correct one: 1 hour

yay, added a scrolling viewport to the maze. next up: make the fog look like fog and scroll slowly instead of flashing rapidly
September 17, 2025 at 5:28 PM
accidentally made the fog animated
September 17, 2025 at 9:40 AM
It is with a great schadenfreude that I announce that I have implemented fog of war into my maze game and made it so much more annoying to play!

ok TECHNICALLY this counts as a maze
August 21, 2025 at 10:39 PM
maze generation is going GREAT definitely will not receive DEATH T(H)RETS for something like this
August 21, 2025 at 9:48 PM
You don't have to be astounded or anything, but I'm amazed that I got the tunnel part of the maze generation running. It generates in steps, backtracks when it gets stuck. Plain Rust + RataTUI.
