"Why are there no games made in Rust, yes ok except for Tiny Glade?" Listen. There's so much going on.

There's so many cool open source projects that are a treasure trove of interesting code you can learn from, for free. There's a whole Minecraft-like: book.veloren.net/contributors...

"Game design isn't actually a subset of programming, it's its own discipline" - while completely obvious on paper, I really wish the whole r/gamedev (and all solo/indie devs) would burn this into their brains. So many of us think that making games is mostly programming. [src: youtu.be/Jqh7SVpMR1o ]

@hankgreen.bsky.social I cannot believe how bad your AI video is. Please consider taking it down, it really equates to propaganda for a multi-trillion scam industry.

"writing code to solve a problem" used to have "understanding the problem" as a prerequisite. but vibecoding allows solution-shaped objects to be produced without any of the hard-won understanding. beware of solution-shaped objects.

The AI bubble may be about to bust.

Peter Thiel has sold all of his Nvidia stock.

We all need to say this very clearly:

NO BAILOUTS FOR THEFT-TECH!

Expropriate their asses instead.

They stole from all of us and fully plan to burn the planet.

They owe us - not the other way around. 1/3

Once you start thinking of AI as a war on humanity, on human thought, on human inquiry, on human labor, on nuance and critical thinking, it slots in pretty seamlessly with the right wing ideological project, oligarchical political projects, big tech's political projects, etc

You know, 20 years ago I half-joked that we should start developing games for FreeBSD and TIL that Playstation OS and Switch 1 both run some forked version of FreeBSD? (And MacOS of course is a NetBSD fork). Man it's hard being always so right

When Reze says "Denji... Denji-kun". Just mulling it over in her mouth. Trying it out. As if, perhaps, for a second, she realized her mark has a name and in different circumstances he could be a friend. That she could see him as a whole human being. #csm #reze

Neat, you can write VST/CLAP audio plugins in Rust now. I might do that some day.
I love how everything is so easy to read in Rust, honestly, it's like. Things that are scary in C/C++ when in Rust are just like. Tasks. Just something you can focus on and learn.
