Publishing is not taking risks and as a reader I’m getting irritated with finding fewer and fewer books on trad shelves I find interesting.
As a writer, I wonder if readers are feeling overfed on these “the next [insert popular title here]” books?

Publishing is not taking risks and as a reader I’m getting irritated with finding fewer and fewer books on trad shelves I find interesting.
As a writer, I wonder if readers are feeling overfed on these “the next [insert popular title here]” books?

When Echo sets out to find a cure for the soul-eating parasite slowly killing her, she doesn’t expect to commit treason, fall for the prince’s fiancée, & cause a succession crisis. She probably shouldn’t have taken advice from the parasite, or from her god-killing father.

Microsoft office has yet again created more work for me than necessary by randomly reverting back to a version from a month ago without me telling it to.
Microsoft office is bad software and no one can convince me otherwise. I’ve been hurt too many times.

I spent all weekend 2 booths down from a bunch of people trying to publish the “Next Great American Male” novel.
In an industry where the majority of female fantasy/sci-fi writers is still being published in YA or Romantasy (instead of just in Adult Fantasy) every novel is the Great Male Novel. 🙄

Naomi King’s apology and video stating she lied about claiming she was raped is so evil. I cannot tell you how much her actions hurt every woman who is a survivor.
I’m glad it came out that Daniel Greene is a shit human, but Naomi is worse for using women’s trauma for her own benefit.

Y’all I know I’m supposed to be a reader/writer, but I accidentally became a ceramics artist during covid and now I make really cool things but that means loading kilns at 2am and waiting until 3 for potential errors.
