Denmark - where social democrats happily mock right wing politician (who's been sentenced to jail for breaking human rights) for not having a strong enough immigration policy during their time as Minister.

Opening of parliament and municipal elections always bring the best out of everybody.

My grandmother's husband died this spring. We weren't close, but I have good memories of watching Tom & Jerry with him as a child and being curious about all the different kinds of books he had. He was not an academic, but worked in a nursing home. His love of books inspired me as I grew older.

Danish social democratic PM's new best friend is Giorgia Meloni. They found each other over a shared sense that the conventions protects the wrong people = "smugglers".

The least surprising friendship in years.

It's been almost a year since I handed in my dissertation “Contesting Border Imaginaries: The Utopian Aesthetics of Contemporary Border Poetry". I write about how Warsan Shire, Wendy Trevino, Athena Farrokhzad and Lone Aburas in all their differences use their work to uncover the bordered present.

Maybe, if not failure, Nordenhof's project should be seen as an attempt to write contemporary historical novels which, following Perry Anderson following Jameson, does not depict history as such, but rather seeks to save it from the catastrophe of the present.
