Yesterday at work we had a few nurses visiting for a training day, who I'd never met before. The first asked if I was the IT guy or something, and the next asked if I was a visiting counselor. I laughed because the receptionist at the school clinic I used to visit thought I was the music teacher.

It was also our black and white kitty Panthor that we said goodbye to back in November.

Our current strategy for working in health care under this current government that is actively attempting to destroy the health care system in Aotearoa is to run away on our motorcycles to go camping in new places, heard kiwi and saw Tane Mahuta.

This morning Destiny Church was gifted a beautiful rainbow flag high up a tree outside their Easter Service. Unsurprisingly they responded with the love of Jesus expressed through their fists.

Went out for my longest and speediest ride yet yesterday, we rode out to Howick to the vegan gluten free cafe then on to Maraetai and Clevedon. Loads of fun, slightly damp at times.

Update: Auckland Council painted over the CEASEFIRE mural claiming they had received complaints about offensive graffiti. They didn't contact the owners of the property at all before removal. Don't worry though, it's already back.
But WTF are you up to Auckland Council?!

Update: the vandals mixed their paint with concrete which made it incredibly easy for my mate to scrap it off to reveal the CEASEFIRE mural underneath. Keep watching, things will be developing here soon.

My friends who painted a big CEASEFIRE on their retaining wall in Kingsland have had it vandalised for like the 8th time early this morning! The vandals have started using cement to try and make it harder to repaint. It's wild how motivated Zionists are.

My mates have painted a big ceasefire and Palestinian flag on their retaining wall in Kingsland but it's been vandalised FOUR times! Getting a fresh paint today after being painted over again last night.

For those in Auckland the Aotearoa Healthcare Workers for Palestine are holding a vigil to mourn healthcare workers killed in Gaza and to call for a ceasefire. The vigil will be from 6pm on Friday the 1st of December outside Auckland City Hospital on Park Road.

Really glad I managed to visit my Grandma in September this year, it looks like the COVID she picked up around the time of her 102nd birthday is taking a serious toll, resulted in a TIA and general deterioration. My parents have flown over expecting a funeral. PS anyone want to cat sit til January?

It should be embarrassing how predictable this is. Cops do something objectively bad and the public find out, so the NZ Police post pics of puppies on social media

Tāmaki Makaurau Street Medics Collective has been working closely with the Kaiāwhina Tāmaki crew to protect the community standing up for a Free Palestine. Community care is an essential part of resisting settler colonialism and will continue to be important as we respond to our incoming government.
