What you can do is make sure you are shooting at the highest resolution and in RAW image format if you can, than set the DPI/image dimensions in photoshop

You should still be able to get 300dpi prints with that. DPI just the resolution of the print, so if your have a 20x16 at 72dpi, and then convert it to 300dpi it would just result in a smaller image, around 8x10ish. There is a setting in photoshop that will adjust image size based on DPI settings
