ONE JAY A DAY - April 3, 2025

RYAN BORUCKI (2018-22)

24-year-old rookie lefty was Toronto's most valuable pitcher in 2018 despite not making his debut until late June. Moved to the 'pen the next year and was inexplicably traded to SEA in '22 for...Tyler Keenan. #bluejays #thanksAtkins

ONE JAY A DAY - April 2, 2025

Lyle Overbay

10 yrs after the unforgivable John Olerud trade, Toronto got a poor man's version of him from Milwaukee. A good defender and solid hitter (110 OPS+ over 5 years in TOR), his relative lack of thump wouldn't have mattered so much on a better team #bluejays

ONE JAY A DAY - April 1, 2025

JUNIOR FELIX

DR native played two promising seasons for Toronto at age 21/22. In 1989 hit a home run on the first MLB pitch he ever saw. Probably best remembered as the key player sent to Anaheim in exchange for Devon White in Dec. 1990. Out of baseball by age 27.

ONE JAY A DAY:
Pat Borders : didn't reach the Majors until he was 25 years old, but still managed to play 17 MLB seasons, eight of them in Toronto. Best remembered for his heroics in the 1992 World Series where he batted .450 and was named MVP in the Jays' first championship vs. Atlanta. #bluejays
